Thank you for your interest in the West Tamar Highway Corridor Strategy (Launceston to Beauty Point).
The project aims to identify and investigate current highway characteristics and its performance in terms of road safety, road design and road pavement condition and level of service, such as travel time reliability and transport accessibility.
The corridor study will also consider the future transport demand and identify opportunities for improvement along the corridor.
The West Tamar Highway Corridor Strategy will develop a prioritised list of road improvement projects in order to improve safety outcomes across the corridor, provide a more consistent traffic environment and improve transport flow.
Your feedback will assist the Department in understanding the concerns the community has with the transport corridor at the moment.
This project will be open for public consultation from Monday 26 September to Monday 24 October, 2022.
